DAYTON -- A 59-year-old Dayton man who pleaded guilty to murder for shooting his wife was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The sentence handed down Wednesday in Columbia County Superior Court to Joseph Shuba includes a five-year firearm enhancement.

The Union-Bulletin reported that Shuba said he shot Suzanne Shuba last April in self-defense, fearing she was getting ready to kill him during an argument at their home in Dayton.
