DUVALL -- Zach Taylor topped the 1,500-point mark in career scoring Friday as he led Cedarcrest to a Cascade Conference victory on Senior Night.

Red Wolves head coach Mark Prince said Taylor, a senior guard, needed 20 points to reach 1,500 career points, and he reached the milestone in the first half.

Taylor finished the game with a double-double (29 points, 13 rebounds), he also had six assists and three 3-point field goals. His career totals stand at 1,509 points, 663 rebounds, 383 assists and 259 steals.

"I want to wish (Taylor) congratulations on a great four years at Cedarcrest," Prince said. "Outside of the statistics and the physical part of the game, I appreciated his unselfishness and his willingness to set himself aside and put his team ahead of him."

Ryan Alford and Hunter Fritz led Lakewood with 15 points apiece. Alford made four 3-pointers and Fritz had three. Lakewood made six 3-pointers in the first quarter to build a 22-20 lead, but trailed 38-33 at halftime.
