Thank you to the individuals, churches, businesses and organizations here in Snohomish County for your fantastic support of our YWCA Adopt-a-Family Program. Because of you, homeless and low-income families received wonderful holiday gifts, grocery gift cards for holiday meals and the knowledge that the community cares about them.
You helped us serve our highest number of families to date -- 199 throughout Snohomish County! Working with our staff, these families are engaged in building a better future for their children through our employment, health, domestic violence and shelter programs. Several of our staff said there were tears of joy when parents picked up the gifts.
Each year, we are awestruck over the many acts of kindness and ways you support our programs. Thank you for the giving trees, matching funds and book sales to raise money to sponsor families. Thank you to all of you who also got family, friends, co-workers and neighborhood groups involved. We heard from many sponsors that being a part of our program has become a holiday tradition and we are so appreciative of your support.
On behalf of all of the families from YWCA Adopt-a-Family Program, our staff and our YWCA Board, we thank you for your help this past year.
