Power outage

Where were police to direct traffic?

My wife and I were in Everett Wednesday for a medical appointment. The appointment had to be cancelled because of the power outage. While driving in the area, we had to go through several of the intersections where the traffic lights were not working. Many drivers seem to be either totally clueless or just plain selfish when it comes to taking turns getting through an intersection without functioning traffic lights. There were plenty of opportunities for accidents at these chaotic intersections. So where were the cops to help direct traffic? The only police officer we saw was a motorcycle patrolman within sight of one of the darkened intersections, standing there with a radar gun checking for speeding motorists. Nice to see you have your priorities set, guys.
