Driver killed in crash near Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS — A Bothell man died Monday evening when his car struck a tree while he was driving in the 16800 block of OK Mill Road east of Lake Stevens.
Michael D. Compton, 32, died from head injuries, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled an accident.
The crash happened about 5 p.m.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
