District basketball tournament previews

High school basketball tournaments begin with districts Tuesday and Wednesday night. Here's where to read up on local teams:

4A boys: Jackson is the clear-cut favorite, but don't count out Arlington. Lake Stevens, Kamiak, Mount Vernon, Monroe, Edmonds-Woodway and Mariner will be looking for upsets. [Preview] [Podcast]

4A girls: Monroe and Arlington are the teams to beat. Lynnwood, Edmonds-Woodway, Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Jackson and Kamiak all will try to knock them off. [Preview] [Podcast]

3A boys: Mountlake Terrace, Glacier Peak, Stanwood and Shorewood lead a tournament that's loaded at the top. Marysville Getchell, Oak Harbor, Ferndale and Shorecrest round out the field. [Preview] [Podcast]

3A girls: Marysville Pilchuck, Glacier Peak, Shorecrest, Ferndale, Everett, Shorewood, Meadowdale and Stanwood compete in a loaded bracket. [Preview] [Podcast]
