Prep girls basketball: Lynnwood 55, Monroe 35

LYNNWOOD -- Jordyn and Jasmin Edwards combined for 31 points and 10 steals as Lynnwood avenged its only regular-season loss with a win over Monroe in the first round of the 4A District Tournament. Jordyn Edwards had 17 points and Jasmin Edwards added 14, with each sister tallying five steals. Jordyn Turner led Monroe with 11 points. Mikayla Pivec and Linda Wilson each grabbed 12 rebounds for the Royals, who advance to play Lake Stevens in a winner-to-regionals game on Saturday at Mountlake Terrace High School at 6:00 p.m. Monroe will travel to Edmonds-Woodway to take on the Warriors in a loser-out match on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
