Arlington man's drowning death ruled accidental

GRANITE FALLS -- A Snohomish County man found dead near Granite Falls in December had drowned, officials said Thursday.

The death of Mark E. Acord, 56, of Arlington, was ruled an accident, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.

His body was recovered Dec. 9 in rugged terrain off the Mountain Loop Highway. He had last been seen Dec. 1.
