Prep boys basketball: Shorewood 77, Marysville Getchell 45

SHORELINE -- Josh Hawkinson racked up 32 points in the first three quarters, leading Shorewood to a win in the consolation bracket of the 3A Boys District 1 Tournament. Marysville Getchell couldn't keep up in the loser-out game despite sinking eight 3-pointers in the first half. The 3s accounted for all of the Chargers' field goals in the half. Elijah Jordan paced Marysville Getchell with 17 and had five 3s. Ben Andrews added 15 points for the Thunderbirds. Shorewood must now get past Glacier Peak in another loser-out game 7 p.m. Wednesday on the Grizzlies' home court. Winning that game will earn them the right to play in the consolation finals for a shot at third place and a regionals berth.
