MOUNT VERNON -- Natalie Sakuma paced Mount Vernon Christian with 14 points in a second-round win in the 1B Tri-District Girls Basketball Tournament. The win secures the Hurricanes at least fourth place in the tournament and a regionals berth. Next they host Shoreline Christian at 8:15 p.m. Thursday in the semifinal round.
