BOTHELL -- A woman found dead Tuesday in Bothell was the victim of homicidal violence, Bothell police Sgt. Cedric Collins said.

Police and the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office have not yet released the woman's name or other details about how she died.

The police investigation is ongoing, Collins said Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators don't believe anyone else was harmed, he said. {Update 4:15 p.m.: Police also have confirmed that the woman's children are safe.}

No suspect information was available Wednesday.

Police were called about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and asked to check on a resident who lived in the 200 block of 240th Street SW. The person had not shown up for work.

Officers found the body at the house and called detectives.
