Snohomish County has scheduled a public meeting to discuss plans to widen Seattle Hill Road at 132nd Street SE.

The meeting is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 28 at Mill Creek Elementary School, 3400 148th St. SE, Mill Creek.

Preliminary plans call for adding a third lane and a center turn lane. Bike lanes, curbs and sidewalks would be part of the design.

No date for the actual work has been scheduled.

The proposal would upgrade roads next to Mill Creek's 52-acre high-density "urban village" zone, where a developer plans to build hundreds of condos and town homes along with shopping areas.

A medical office building is under construction there. For more information, go to www.snoco.org and search for "roads central;" then click on "current road and bridge projects" and look for "Seattle Hill Road."
