Alpaca Herdsire Review, Pen Sale and Fiber Market: When you gaze into the big moist eyes of an alpaca you might actually fall in love; these alpacas are at the Evergreen Fairgrounds to steal your heart during The Alpaca Association of Western Washington's second annual Valentine's weekend Herdsire Review. In attendance will be alpaca herdsires available for breeding and there will also be an Alpaca Pen Sale and Fiber Market so that the public can see and buy alpaca products as well as alpacas; the event is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe. "Plastics Unwrapped": The Burke Museum explores the impact of plastics on people and the planet, from life before plastics to the effects of plastics on our health and the environment today; runs through May 27 at the Burke Museum, on the University of Washington campus, at the corner of NE 45th Street and 17th Avenue NE.
