Everett's Howarth Park

Thank you to all involved in work party

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude to Joanna Nelson de Flores, Paul Kaftanski, Geoff Larsen and all involved in the Howarth Park work party on Feb 2. I was particularly impressed with the turnout of volunteers from Naval Station Everett. I am a daily user of the park and was thrilled and honored with the passion and effort put forth in the pouring down rain for 3-plus hours. The work party was well organized and had 50, plus or minus, in attendance. The park is part of the reason I move to the neighborhood 25 years ago. With tight city budgets, the principles of the effort have figured out how to access funding with the help of the Boeing Co. also. The city of Everett and Forterra have been painstakingly consistent in providing parks, maintaining parks and giving the 100,000-plus citizens a place to recreate regardless of the weather. Thank you all very much for making Everett a better place to live.
