Children’s Museum open Monday for Presidents Day fun

Monday, kids in Snohomish County can honor the leaders of our nation during Presidents Day festivities at Imagine Children's Museum.

The museum, which is normally closed on Mondays, is open to celebrate Presidents Day with several fun projects involving some history and a little skating.

Imagine's Art Studio has several projects planned for visitors. Materials and instruction will be provided for those who want to create insert-your-face cutout masks of President George Washington or President Abraham Lincoln.

Visitors can make a 3-D star featuring the names of every United States president from George Washington to Barack Obama, according to a press release.

For the skating part, the museum's Great Room will be transformed into a skating rink. Visitors can rock to cool music and get into the mood with a disco ball while using carpet skates to race around the "rink."

The special Presidents Day opening goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Imagine Children's Museum, 1502 Wall St., Everett. The projects and carpet skating are included in the $9 price of admission. For more information go to www.ImagineCM.org or call 425-258-1006.
