250 JBLM soldiers returning from Afghanistan

JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD -- About 250 military intelligence soldiers are returning to Joint Base Lewis-McChord after a nine-month deployment in Afghanistan.

The Army said members of the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion are due on base at 3 a.m. Wednesday.

First Lt. Filberto Martinez said they were deployed throughout Afghanistan, collecting information. He said no soldiers in the unit were killed in action. One died of self-inflicted wounds.
