Associated Press
SPOKANE -- Officials are investigating the death of a man at the Spokane County Jail.
The sheriff's office said the man died Sunday morning after deputies used a Taser and a restraint chair to gain control of him. He lost consciousness after being placed in the chair, and the sheriff's office said deputies and emergency medical staff immediately began CPR. The man did not regain consciousness.
It happened in the booking area of the jail. No further information about the man was released.
A regional law enforcement team managed by the Washington State Patrol is investigating.
