"Argo" took the Best Picture Oscar on Sunday night, but the really big story happened Saturday, when "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" was named the worst picture of 2012 by the Razzies.

Overall, the movie took seven Razzies for awfulness -- truly an impressive achievement, considering it was up against the latest terrible Eddie Murphy comeback vehicle.



Got milk: People in China, the world's most populous nation, are developing a taste for milk, and that's excellent news for Snohomish County dairy farmers.

Most of the exported dairy products are processed into powder, then reconstituted overseas and added to other products, including milk flavored with peanuts -- in other words, what we Americans know as the leftover milk in the bottom of the cereal bowl.



Movie night: The White House and Republicans on Sunday continued to blame each other for budget cuts set to take effect on Friday. Groping for a way out of the mess, one former lawmaker urged the Congress critters to watch "Lincoln" and take note of Honest Abe's political skills.

House Republicans replied that they're in more of a "Django Unchained" mood.
