TACOMA -- A six-month-old Malayan tiger cub remains in guarded condition Wednesday at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma.
The zoo says veterinarians are trying to find out what caused Berani to fall ill Monday afternoon. He underwent emergency surgery Monday night to determine whether he had an intestinal blockage. None was found.
The cub is sedated and under round-the-clock care.
