When: Today, 2 p.m.
Breakdown: The Bears played for the state championship in 2012, falling 48-42 to Davis. They are ranked No. 4 in the most recent Associated Press 4A poll and have a record of 22-2 on the season. All of the success they have had this season has come after graduating seven seniors, including four starters from last season. Central Valley got to the Tacoma Dome with a 61-55 victory over Beamer in the state regional. The Timberwolves are ranked No. 3 and are the only undefeated boys team remaining in the state. They defeated Auburn 58-53 in the state regionals to get to the quarterfinals for the fourth straight season.
Key players: Jackson--Jason Todd, F, Jr.; Dan Kingma, G, Jr.; Brian Zehr, F, Jr. Central Valley--Austin Rehkow, G, Sr.; Adam Chamberlain, G, Jr.; Beau Byus, P, Jr.
How Jackson will win ... The Timberwolves need balance. It will be difficult for Central Valley to shut down Jason Todd, but even if the star junior plays well, he needs teammates to step up. Guard Dan Kingma needs to shoot well from the outside and forward Brian Zehr will help open it up for Todd on the inside. The Timberwolves will also need to match the physicality of the Bears in order to advance.

Winner's reward: A trip to the state semifinals to face either No. 7 Richland or unranked Arlington.
Lincoln vs. Mountlake Terrace
When: Today, 7:15 p.m.
Breakdown: These two teams have a history. They played each other in early December at the Les Schwab invitational. The Hawks outplayed and led the Abes for most of the game, but in the end Lincoln pulled off the comeback win. Mountlake Terrace has lost just three games since and is coming of a victory over Foss in the state regional set up the rematch. The Abes are 20-3 and defeated Columbia River to get to the Tacoma Dome
Key players: Lincoln--Tre'Shaun Fletcher, F, Sr.; Ahmaad Rorie, G, Jr. Mountlake Terrace--Greg Bowman, F, Jr.; Marquis Armstead, G, Sr.; Blake Fernandez, G, Sr.; Loren Lacasse, F, Sr.
How Mountlake Terrace will win ... By finishing. The first time around the Hawks proved they had the better team, but they couldn't close the game. This one almost certainly figures to be close – and the Hawks have to make plays down the stretch to advance. Get the ball in the hands of Blake Fernandez and Marquis Armstead and they will lead the Hawks to the semifinals.
Winner's reward: A trip to the state semifinals to face No. 4 Lakeside or No. 10 University.
Arlington vs. Richland
When: Today, 12:15 p.m.
Breakdown: The 21-4 Bombers are coming off a convincing 68-39 win over Stadium in the state regional round. Coach Earl Streufert's son Nathan leads the way, averaging 16.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He has the body of a big man, but plays like a guard and can be a nightmare for other teams to guard. The Bombers are stacked with players that can shoot and rebound. Fundamentals are Richland's biggest strength. The Eagles come into the quarterfinals with a record of 21-3. Two of their three losses this season have come to undefeated Jackson, both by double digits. The Eagles put together perhaps their most complete game of the season in a 58-47 victory over Bellarmine Prep in the state regionals.
Key players: Arlington--Terry Dawn, F, Sr.; Noah Jones, F, Jr.; Kaleb Bryson, G, Jr. Richland--Nathan Streufert, G/F, Jr.; Steven Beo, G, Fr.; Payton Radliff, G, Jr.; Jacob DeVries, G, Jr.
How Arlington will win ... If Dawn dominates. The Eagles have been balanced all season and Dawn hasn't been asked to shoulder the load most of the time. That being said, Dawn is the Eagles best player and at this level he will have to play his best. Arlington still needs the other players to step up, but if Dawn repeats his regional-round performance where he scored 29 points, things will be much easier for the Eagles.
Radio: KRKO 1380
Winner's reward: A trip to the state semifinals to face either No. 3 Jackson or No. 4 Central Valley.
