Front Porch: Eat treats for good cause

Chocolate lovers are invited to the first Snohomish Chocolate Walk scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 16 in downtown Snohomish.
People will be able to visit 17 vendors in downtown to collect treats and meet with chocolate creators. Tickets cost $15 and will benefit Historic Downtown Snohomish, a nonprofit that attempts to revitalize downtown.
Tickets can be bought at www.historicdowntownsnohomish.org until March 12. There will be no tickets available at the door.

Helping with global health: Learn how people in Snohomish County are making a difference in global health and development.
A free community event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Jackson Conference Center at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St.
The keynote speech will be delivered by Hayden Bixby, who is with the Cura Orphanage in Kenya.

Learn about fuchsias: Master gardener Frankie Dennison plans to talk about fuchsias at the Monroe Garden Club meeting at 12:30 p.m. March 11 at the Monroe United Methodist Church, 342 S. Lewis St.
