The Washington Stealth announced on Friday that they have signed goalkeeper Matt Roik to a one-year deal pending approval from the National Lacrosse League
To make room for Roik, the Stealth released goalkeeper Nick Patterson.
Roik returns to the Stealth for a second go-around with the team after being traded to Toronto before the 2012 season and playing for Colorado this season.
In seven games with the Mammoth Roik had a 2-2 record.
“We’re always trying to better our position as we make a drive to the playoffs,” Stealth head coach Chris Hall said. “When Colorado released Matt it peaked our interest.”
The Stealth face Minnesota Sunday at 2:45 p.m. at Comcast Arena.
