Western Washington Medical Group makes Arlington move
Whitehorse Family Medicine, located in Arlington across from Cascade Valley Hospital, has been serving the community since 1956 and offers the services of two physicians and two nurse practitioners. Within Arlington, Whitehorse is known as a compassionate medical practice.
The move into the Arlington area is expected to be a positive change for patients of both Whitehorse Family Medicine and Western Washington Medical Group.
"WWMG is a firm advocate for patient choice," Western Washington Medical Group CEO Jerry Tillinger said in a news release. "By expending our geographic footprint and range of specialties, we are able to offer more choices for care to our patients."
The addition of Whitehorse Family Medicine continues the expanding partnership Western Washington Medical Group has with primary care providers in Snohomish County. In 2011, Western Washington Medical Group opened the Silver Lake Medical Clinic, expanding its family medicine to the south end, followed by the opening of an internal medicine practice in the Silver Lake and Canyon Park areas. That was followed by the additions of Lake Serene Clinic in Lynnwood, Mill Creek OB/GYN and Marysville Family Medicine. These groups joined Western Washington Medical Group's 19 specialties that see patients in 19 locations throughout Snohomish County.
"WWMG made a decision in 2010 to expand its partnerships with primary care providers and to bring a better balance of specialty and primary care providers into the organization," Tillinger said in the news release. "Practices in WWMG are able to maintain a high level of individuality and autonomy in their practice while still enjoying the benefits of a large group affiliation."
Tillinger said Western Washington Medical Group will continue its expansion in the coming years.
