Seattle mystery writer Mary Daheim to sign latest novel

Seattle writer Mary Daheim returns with another of her Emma Lord murder mysteries set in the now-fictional town of Alpine, Wash. A logging town, it really did exist in the early 20th century.
Daheim will sign "The Alpine Xanadu," her 24th book in the Alpine series, at 7 tonight at the University Book Store at Mill Creek.
Daheim takes readers on another tongue-twisting, plot-twisting adventure with Emma, the intrepid small-town newspaper editor, as she gets involved with a mysterious death and strange goings-on at RestHaven, a rehab and mental health facility.
