ARLINGTON -- Police made two arrests Thursday in connection with recent mail thefts at the downtown Arlington Post Office.
The two men arrested, 21 and 26, are believed to be homeless, according to Arlington police. They were expected to be booked into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of mail theft, possessing stolen mail and related allegations.
Since mid-February, at least three incidents of mailbox theft have been reported at the post office along N. Olympic Ave, officials said.
In each case, post office boxes were pried open and the contents stolen.
Some stolen mail was recovered Thursday.
Victims are encouraged to call 360-403-3400 to report any theft.
