Several lawmakers are planning town hall sessions as the legislative session continues this spring.
Rep. Hans Dunshee plans to host two town hall meetings on March 16 in the 44th District in east Snohomish County.
Dunshee said that bolstering the state’s economy and keeping the community strong are his top goals for this legislative session.
“We need to create a budget that tackles many issues, not just focus on one,” Dunshee said in a statement. “We can’t just fund one area and ignore others. A kid doesn’t learn if he or she doesn’t have a place to come home to at night or food in their belly during the day. Let’s work together to keep our community a great place to live and work.”
The first meeting is from 10 a.m. to noon at Mill Creek City Hall, 15728 Main St. Mill Creek. The second meeting is from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lake Stevens Fire Department Station 82 Conference Room, 9811 Chapel Hill Road, Lake Stevens.
State Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe, and state Reps. Derek Stanford and Luis Moscoso, the 1st District delegation, will host a town hall meeting also on March 16 in Bothell. The meeting is planned from 1 to 3 p.m. in the multipurpose room of Bothell’s Northshore Senior Center, which is located at 10201 E. Riverside Drive.
