Obafemi Martins tweets that he's a Sounder

The long anticipated signing of forward Obafemi Martins has not yet been announced by Sounders FC, but the forward who has been playing for Spanish club Levante announced via Twitter that his move to Seattle has been completed.

The Sounders have been targeting the Nigerian forward since last month, with general manager Adrian Hanauer confirming the team's interest, but the two sides were not able to finalize a deal before the start of the season, reportedly because of complications in buying out Martins' contract with Levante.

Seattle parted ways with midfielder Christian Tiffert before the start of the season to free up a designated player spot on its roster for Martins, and now it appears the deal is done, or very close to finished, which is good news for a team that has failed to score in its first two games this season.
