MARYSVILLE -- A 68-year-old motorcyclist was flown by medical helicopter to a Seattle hospital Wednesday morning after he was struck by a Subaru wagon.

The crash was reported about 8 a.m. at Highway 528 and 60th Drive NE in front of Allen Creek Elementary School, Marysville Fire Marshal Tom Maloney said.

Marysville police are investigating, Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said. They believe the motorcycle was westbound along the highway and was struck in the intersection as the Subaru made a left turn.

Access around the school was restricted while the campus was used as a landing zone for the helicopter crew.

The man's injuries weren't believed to be life-threatening, Lamoureux said. His hometown wasn't immediately known.

No other injuries were reported.

The Subaru driver, a 81-year-old Tulalip woman, was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.

The crash blocked traffic for some time.
