Are you ready for St. Patrick's Day? What? You don't know what you're doing yet? Well, that can't stand. Here are some ideas to make sure you get in plenty of Irish spirit.

Pipes and Drum: The Snohomish County Firefighters Pipes and Drums will join St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Seattle and Everett on Saturday and Sunday. They will perform in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Seattle and at Shawn O'Donnell's in Everett on Saturday and Sunday. Click here to read the details.

Run! The St. Patty's Day Dash is on Sunday in downtown Seattle. It's a 5k, so you can run it decked out in your finest Irish garb and still have the energy to dance a jig afterward. And don't forget to stop by the beer garden. Yes, the race ends at a beer garden. Find details here, including how to register. If you register Thursday, you'll save $5. Prices go up Friday and Saturday. No registration the day of the race.

Eat! Check a roundup of places to eat on St. Patrick's Day here.

And a few more ideas:

Do it yourself: If you want to eat, but still want to stay home, how about making something Irish yourself?

For the kids, the Seattle Children's Museum has plenty of events planned all weekend. Find all the details here.

Still can't get enough? Check out the Irish Festival in Seattle on Saturday and Sunday. It will be overflowing with all things Irish, including food, games, dancing and music. Check it out here.

Completely different: OK, so it has nothing to do with St. Patrick's Day, but it's a good supplementary activity. The NCAA men's basketball pairings will be announced at 3 p.m. on St. Patrick's Day, so you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day by filling out your bracket.
