MOUNTLAKE TERRACE -- A tree-trimmer was rushed to a Seattle hospital Tuesday after suffering an injury in Mountlake Terrace.

Rescue crews were told the man was about 30 feet up a tree and cutting a limb when he was struck in the shoulder, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1. The impact from the falling limb slammed the man into the tree.

It happened about 4:45 p.m. in the 22200 block of 38th Avenue W. The man lost consciousness for a time, Hynes said. His co-worker on the ground called 911.

Firefighters were able to reach the man with a ladder truck. He was able to walk down the ladder with assistance, Hynes said.

Crews still were evaluating the man's injuries Tuesday night. His age was not immediately available.
