23-year sentence for Olympia homeless homicide

OLYMPIA -- A 21-year-old man was sentenced Monday in Olympia to 23 years in prison for his role in a stabbing death at a homeless camp.
Prosecutors said Jason Beeson gave a co-defendant the knife used last October to kill Matthew Samlock.
The Olympian reported that Beeson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
The co-defendant, 21-year-old Jakob Curtis, pleded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced in February to 33 years in prison.
