Prep girls tennis: Stanwood 7, Arlington 0

STANWOOD -- Stanwood No. 1 singles player Elle Shaughnessy outlasted Arlington's Macy Mackey in three sets in a back-and-forth match that took three hours in the chilly March weather. Shaughnessy beat Mackey 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 to help the Spartans beat the Eagles in an old Wesco rivalry that is now considered a nonleague match.

Sierra DeCota 6-1, 6-1. Doubles--Rachel Rich-Sara Schlagel (S) def. Sally Hatfield-Maya Manzano 6-1, 6-2; Caryn Nash-Zanetta Uy (S) def.
