Learn about avalanche safety

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
Here's your chance to learn about avalanche safety the safe way.

Avalanche experts can show you how it's done on a walk through the wilderness.

Friends of the Avalanche Center safety teachers and U.S. Forest Service rangers will lead snowshoe walks at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Snoqualmie Pass Visitor Information Center.

Showshoes are provided.

Cost is an optional $15 donation.

Reservations are required. Call 425-434-6111.

For more information, go to www.fs.usda.gov/mbs

To get there, take I-90 east. Take Exit 52 at Snoqualmie Pass west. Stay right. The Forest Service Visitor Information Center is on the right.
