Do-overs

Italy's highest court delayed until today a decision on whether Seattle's Amanda Knox will face a new trial in the murder of her British roommate -- some two years after Knox was acquitted in the woman's slaying (Page B4).

Reportedly, officials were in negotiations with Judge Alex Trebek to preside over a special Court of Double Jeopardy.

Party animal: Britain's Prince Harry will be returning to the United States in May -- but this time he'll steer clear of Las Vegas, where he was photographed cavorting in the nude with female companions last year (World Briefly, Page A3).

On his trip, Harry will be playing polo in Greenwich, Conn., under special rules: For each goal scored by the opposing team, an article of clothing must be shed. Both socks count as one.

Vaporware: Google is shutting down Google Reader because it didn't want to commit enough staff to ensure the RSS feed aggregator complied with privacy laws, the tech website AllThingsD reported (Page A6).

The imminent demise of Reader has angered its supporters, who wonder why Google doesn't kill services that nobody uses -- like Google+, for example.
