Want a free bag of compost? All you need to do is visit one of several local retailers and find a poster with the logo of Corey, the anthropomorphic apple core.
The offer is a part of Compost Days, a campaign to thank Snohomish and King County residents for diverting 350,000 tons of food and yard waste in 2012.
To get a bag of free compost, go to one of the locations in this map. Look around for a poster with the apple logo. Get the code off of the poster. Go to this website and enter the code. Entering the code will enter you for a chance to compete in the Big Dig, which has $1,000 in prizes. For entering, you will be sent a coupon for a free bag of compost.
