The Seahawks reportedly have made their third free-agent acquisition of the offseason, and for third time they’ve added a defensive end.
According to multiple reports, including this one on Twitter by ProFootballTalk.com, Seattle has reached a one-year deal with former Dolphins defensive tackle Tony McDaniel.

The signing likely means Seattle won’t be bringing back defensive tackle Alan Branch. A starter for the past two seasons, Branch is currently an unrestricted free agent, though at this point we should all know better than to assume we know what Pete Carroll and John Schneider are up to.
The 6-foot-7, 305-pound McDaniel joins a revamped D-line that includes newly signed ends Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. McDaniel, 28, came into the league as an undrafted free agent with Jacksonville, and has spent the past four seasons in Miami. He battled through a knee injury last season but still appeared in 11 games, but in the previous two years, he had 2.5 sacks each season as a rotational lineman (he started just two games).
