SHORELINE — Callie Anderson went 4-for-4 and Allissa Kaufhold batted 2-for-2 to help Shorecrest beat rival Shorewood in a Wesco 3A South game. Scots starting pitcher Amanda Eshelman allowed just two hits to pickup the five inning shutout win.
The game was a part of Shorecrest and Shorewood baseball and softball teams’ second annual “Blue Day/Pink Night” doubleheader to increase awareness to fight cancer. The event was Eshelman’s senior project, with proceeds benefitting the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. According to Shorewood baseball head coach Wyatt Tonkin, the event’s goal to raise $1,000 was exceeded.
