Prep Lax update: Stanwood boys beat B-E

STANWOOD – Jacob Murry scored two goals and had two assists as Stanwood doubled Burlington-Edison 10-5 in a boys varsity division II high school lacrosse action on Friday at Stanwood Middle School.

The win lifted Stanwood to its fourth win on the season, while Burlington-Edison dropped its fourth.

After playing to a 3-3 tie in the first, Stanwood eased ahead with two in the second to make it 5-4 at the half. Stanwood’s defense kicked in in the third shutting out Burlington-Edison 2-0 than added three more in the fourth to close-out the game.

Jack Delich, Taran Brewer and Frank Medlicott all had two-goal nights for Stanwood.

Stanwood (4-2-0) next faces Meadowdale (1-6-0) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Lynnwood High School. Burlington-Edison (1-4-0) next faces Wilsonville High School (Ore.) Wednesday, April 3 in a 5:30 p.m. start in Willsonville, Ore.

BOYS VARSITY DIVISION II

Hawkins nets six to lead Everett past Meadowdale

EVERETT – Jared Hawkins scored six goals to lead Everett to its third win of the spring with a 17-4 boys high school lacrosse win over Meadowdale, Friday at Walter Hall Park in Everett.

Everett jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the first and added three more in the second for a 5-2 half-time advantage before jumping all over Meadowdale with six goals in each of the third and fourth quarters.

Hawkins added an assist for seven points and 12 ground balls on the night to lead all scorers.

Paul Johnson, Justin Holster, Jordan Tindall and Josef Neri all had single goals and Daniel Connor had eight saves for Meadowdale.

Everett (3-1-0) next faces Monroe (0-5-0) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Monroe High School. Meadowdale (1-6-0) next faces Stanwood (4-2-0) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. start at Lynnwood High School.
