Today

“General Hospital” reaches a big milestone this week as it celebrates 50 years of soapy shenanigans. One of the week’s highlights includes the fan-favorite event known as the Nurses Ball, complete with a jam session by Rick Springfield. 1 p.m Monday through Friday, ABC.

Tuesday

Lives are on the line as “Justified” closes out its riveting fourth season. Expect a high-stakes showdown between Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) and Detroit mob boss Nicky Augustine (Mike O’ Malley), who is definitely out for blood. 10 p.m., FX.

Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall may be gone, but “The Game” continues on. And so far, Lauren London and Jay Ellis make for pretty intriguing replacement players in the sexy comedy. 10 p.m., BET.

Wednesday

David Tennant (“Doctor Who”) heads the cast in “Spies of Warsaw.” It’s a thrilling two-part spy drama that finds French and German intelligence operatives locked in a life-and-death struggle during the pre-WWII years. 9 p.m., BBC America.

Thandie Newton (“Crash”) shifts into butt-kicking mode on “Rogue.” It’s a new crime thriller about an undercover detective who gets drawn into a dangerous relationship with an Oakland mob boss. 9 p.m., DirecTV Audience Network.

Thursday

“Hannibal” is a suspenseful new drama series that imagines what Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) was like before Anthony Hopkins took on the icy killer in “Silence of the Lambs.” 10:01 p.m., NBC.

Friday

“Vice” is a new weekly newsmagazine that chases down unusual stories all over the globe. Night 1 includes a report on how the Taliban recruits children to be suicide bombers. 11 p.m., HBO.

Saturday

Funny lady Melissa McCarthy, who made such a great impression last season, returns to host “Saturday Night Live.” The musical guest is the indie rock band Phoenix. 11:30 p.m., NBC.
