Nineteen players advance from SeaWolves tryout
Those 19 players will play in a pair of exhibition soccer matches, on April 20 against Gonzaga and on April 27 against Northwest University. Times and locations will be determined.
"The tryouts were a huge success," Moore said. "We had players from more than five states come. We got a great chance to evaluate every player and there were definitely some talented players that made for some tough decisions. We'll further evaluate them in a game environment and see who is a good fit for the team."
Among those advancing were former Jackson High School standout Tye Hastings, now a midfielder at Western Washington University, and Edmonds Community College players Josimar Evangelista and Andrew McDonald.
The SeaWolves are members of the Northwest Division of the Premier Development League, the highest level of amateur soccer in the United States. The team plays its home games at Edmonds Stadium, with the 2013 home opener set for May 18 against the Portland Timbers' U-23 squad.
