MONROE — City leaders are moving forward with plans to do away with Monroe’s traffic-enforcement cameras.
City Councilmembers on Tuesday night voted 4-2 in favor of the city sending a letter to the contractor, Arizona-based Redflex Traffic Systems, notifying the company that the city does not intend to renew the contract. One councilmember was absent.
The letter has not been drafted, city officials said Wednesday.
The contract expires in the fall.
