Thanks to Snohomish City Planning Commission for heeding the voice of our community.
The largest protest in Snohomish in recent history happened Thursday night. A flood of testimony was delivered at a standing-room-only public hearing against two rezoning ordinances. Our planners voted a recommendation to the City Council to stop consideration of two proposed rezoning ordinances.
Some 186 members of the Snohomish community came to the meeting. Thirty-six stood to speak at the 3.5 hour hearing. Thirty-six local people stood to speak, giving a long list of credible reasons why the changes were a bad idea. Three spoke in favor of the changes, including the Seattle developer who initiated the idea with the City Council.
Channel 7 news attended and reported, also the Snohomish Times. Where was The Herald?
If the biggest local Snohomish issue in resent history is not covered what is the incentive for Snohomish readers to subscribe to The Herald?
