Where were you born? How long have you lived in the Snohomish County area? What do you like most about it? I was born in Southern California. I moved to Mukilteo in 1989 after visitingWashington and falling in love with the Pacific NW beauty, the people and the clean air.
How long have you worked in Real Estate? I obtained my real estate license in 1987.
What did you do before that? After graduation, I worked in Corporate America before I discovered that the real estate business was more fun and definitely not routine.
What is your specialty and what does that mean for the people you work with? I specialize in residential & new construction sales – my primary focus being North Edmonds – Picnic Point area and Mukilteo. I have been involved in the sale of numerous homes in most of the Harbour Pointe neighborhoods as well as Picnic Point - many of them when they were new construction plats. Give me an address and I may know the exact house, its location and the original model name. I thoroughly understand the Mukilteo and N. Edmonds marketplace and what it takes to put together and keep together a transaction that benefi ts everyone involved. I have clients that have bought and sold with me many times; in fact now their children are using me. It's pretty cool to know that my clients trust me enough to refer their kids.
What is the most challenging aspect of what you do? Making sure all sides of a transaction are happy with the results.
What is the most unusual thing you've encountered while working in Real Estate? I was showing a vacant property to my clients. We opened a closet door and discovered that someone was sleeping there.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home? My advice for buyers is to buy in the best location that you can. You can't update the neighborhood.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to sell a home? My advice for sellers is to prepare your home for sale by making sure it looks the very best it can and of course, hire the most experienced realtor.
Why should someone choose you as their real estate agent? My goal is to always help my clients make good financial decisions when it comes to their real estate purchases and sales. Knowing the current market, I know what pitfalls to look out for and how to avoid them.
What do you most enjoy doing when you're not working? Spending time with family and friends is very important to me. Sports and school activities top the list.
