Head to Everett Library for fun

Kids, here are some library dates to mark on your calendars:
Origami: Duy Nguyen will teach children ages 6 to 12 the traditional Japanese art of paper folding from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library's main branch. The work of artist and author Nguyen (he wrote "Dollar Bill Origami: Another Way to Impress Your Friends with Money") will be on display in the Children's Library before the class.
Paper flowers: Kids and teens ages 9 and up will learn how to make lovely crepe paper flowers at 2 p.m. April 21 at the Evergreen branch. Estela Carrera teaches this class, which is limited to the first 25 children who show up. Supplies for three flowers each will be provided.
Squawk, squawk: Debbie Goodrich, better known as the Parrot Lady, will bring live birds to the libraries and teach kids (preschoolers on up) about parrots' behavior in the wild. The event begins at 11 a.m. May 11 at the Evergreen branch, and at 2 p.m. at the main library auditorium.
