Police break up cock fight attended by 1,000

ZILLAH -- The Yakima County sheriff's office says there were about 1,000 spectators at a cock fight inside a shop at an orchard in Zillah.
The spectators fled out windows and doors Saturday night as deputies arrived.
Deputies arrested a ranch foreman suspected of promoting the event. Several others were detained and could be charged with attending an animal fight.
The sheriff's office also says deputies recovered eight guns, cash and equipment used to outfit roosters for fighting.
