EVERETT — Snohomish won its 10th match of the season in a 1-0 win over Jackson, but the Timberwolves (1-7-2 league, 1-8-2 overall) made the undefeated Panthers work for it.
It took 62 minutes for Snohomish to get on the board with a strike from 25 yards out by Juan Machuca. Jackson hit the post twice with shots and the Panthers had to save one ball off the line with two minutes left.
Snohomish hit the post three times as well, and head coach Dan Pingrey referred to the game as “frustrating.”
“They did a good job. … We allowed ourselves to get frustrated and that took us out of our game,” Pingrey said.
Still, with an assist from Brennan Judy “(Machuca) took care of business, and we move on,” said Pingrey.
Ryan Peters had the shutout in goal for the Panthers.
