SNOHOMISH — The Glacier Peak girls tennis team won the No. 1 and 2 singles matches but Stanwood won the other two and swept doubles play to hand the Grizzlies their first Wesco loss of the season.
Glacier Peak’s No. 1 singles player Nadean Al-Ali beat Christine Wolf 6-1, 6-2 to remain unbeaten this season and Mia Selin handed Stanwood’s Alessia Piazzi her first loss of the season, but it was all Spartans from that point. Rachel Rich and Caryn Nash both won their singles matches and Stanwood’s doubles teams didn’t drop a set to lock up the team’s ninth victory of the season.
