SILVER LAKE -- A fire caused more than $50,000 in damage to a home Wednesday night.
No one was injured in the blaze. The man who lived in the house was displaced and planned to stay with friends.
Around 8:15 p.m. emergency dispatchers received multiple reports of a fire at house in the 2100 block of 105th Place SE.
Firefighters could see a large column of black smoke from several blocks away, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1.
The back of the house was in flames when crews first arrived.
No one was inside when the fire started, Hynes said. Firefighters had the blaze under control in about 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office.
