Arlington's Haller Middle School Assistant Principal Faye Britt had finished the Boston Marathon on Monday when the bombs exploded. Now she is raising money to help the victims of the attack.
Britt plans to donate to The One Fund Boston, giving $1 for each of her students who runs and wears the marathon's blue and gold colors on Monday during a lunchtime fundraiser, part of the national effort called Run for Boston. Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino announced the formation of The One Fund Boston to help the people most affected by the tragic events on April 15.
Britt said she planned to make a contribution to the fund and then thought it would be an opportunity for students to show their support as well.
