Two added to Storm's training camp roster

The Seattle Storm announced the addition of Katelan Redmon and Keisha Hampton to the 2013 training camp roster on Friday.

Redmon, a guard from Gonzaga, was drafted 36th overall by the New York Liberty last season. She appeared in seven games for New York a year ago.

Hampton is a 6-foot-2 forward from DePaul. She was selected 22nd overall by the Storm in 2012, but did not attend training camp. This past winter she played in Latvia scoring 17.4 points per game.

"We are looking forward to having Keisha in camp, finally," head coach and general manager Brian Agler said in a press release. "She had a very decorated career at DePaul so we are looking to see how that transfers to the Storm."

Seattle has already signed guards Tameka Johnson and Noelle Quinn and forward Nakia Sanford to the roster this offseason. Forward Alysha Clark will return to the team and Chay Shegog and Cierra Bravard have already been added to the training camp roster as well.

Last Monday, the Storm selected Maryland's Tianna Hawkins with the sixth overall pick in the 2013 WNBA draft. Hawkins averaged 18.3 points and 9.5 rebounds for the Terrapins this past season. Seattle also added forward Chelsea Poppins (Iowa State) and guard Jasmine James (Georgia) in the second and third round respectively.

Seattle will be without starting point guard Sue Bird and starting center Lauren Jackson in 2013 as they both recover from respective injuries. Center Ann Wauters will also not return in 2013 for personal reasons.

Seattle opens the 2013 WNBA season on May 26 on the road in Los Angeles. The home opener is June 2 at KeyArena against Phoenix and No. 1 overall draft pick Brittney Griner.
